It's been awhile since I played Metal Slug Advance. Metal Slug Advance was recently added to the Nintendo Classics on Nintendo Switch (https://www.chickendinnergaming.com/forum/nintendo-switch-2-switch-3ds-and-wii-u/nintendo-switch-online-adds-3-more-game-boy-advance-titles/). This game came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2004 and was a fun game.
The biggest difference that I see besides different characters and story is the health bar and how lives work. You have a health bar where you die once the health bar is depleted. Food adds more health to the health bar as you find / collect it.
Overall, it's a really fun game. It plays a lot like other metal slug games minus the health bar aspect. You select characters Walter or Tyra. You have Normal and Hard modes to choose from. I have not really played on the hard mode yet as ... enemies keep respawning as you move from left to right. If you backtrack at all, enemies respawn lol. Oh Metal Slug, you certainly love to be brutal.
Have you played this game? What are your thoughts?
