Ooof... It looks like there was back-to-back hits from Sony today!
Information Fast Path:
- Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting August 2026.
- Additional Latin American and Middle Eastern countries – PlayStation Store on PS3 will close starting late 2026.
- In all other countries, PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita will close in July 2027.

I thought the Vita and Ps3 was already closed ... but according to Sony:

At least we will still be able to download. I need to log back into the PS3 and Vita to see what is still offered to buy lol.

It seems like Microsoft or Nintendo did something similar with some legacy stuff and the last few days had some killer sales. Maybe Sony will sell a bunch of digital stuff for cheap!

@BLUEVOODU I really did not know that the store was still open. I haven't had my PS3 out of storage and hooked up in a very long time. I have only purchased a couple of cheap PS1 games back during the PS3 glory days. And I have never purchased any Digital games for the Vita. I never considered it.
The only thing I have out for gaming is the Evercade VS, Wii-U, and the Retron GX in the living room. And I have the Sega Genesis, and the N64 at my Mac Mini TV. And I keep my portables within reach.

I have so many PS3 games... it's pretty crazy. The PS3 sales back in the day were really good. You could also get buy 2 get 1 free many times with the Wii and PS3 (not sure about Xbox). My PS3 received a ton of play... especially with PS1 and PS2 games. I still have the PS3 ready to go in the center as my son and I are finishing a few Lego games and platinum trophying them.
