We are now in 2025... it's been 2 years since Google Stadia died and other cloud gaming platforms rolled up.  I believe we have the following left:

Xbox Cloud, Amazon Luna, Playstation Plus Premium and Nvidia Gforce Now.  To date, I have not tried any of these platforms.  I was going to try Amazon Luna, but was distracted with a massive gaming backlog (massive is an understatement) and ... life.

Where are you at?  Are you playing any of these services?  Any other services I didn't list that you are enjoying?  Post it up!

Bumping this up.  Have any of you tried any of the cloud services?  I thought maybe @CreepinDeth @trkorecky @Polygon would have some experiences with them.  Curious on if they are worth trying out or what the status is at this point.

It seems with the price or RAM and Disks right now... hardware prices increases, and the verbiage of business leaders seemingly pushing more hardware as a service (HaaS) scenarios... there is a chance these will potentially start taking off more

Post it up!

I have experience with Xbox Cloud and Stadia. I played a few minutes of Forza Horizon on Xbox Cloud and was not impressed, latency was terrible even on a controller.

Stadia was great though. I played some Assassin's Creed Odyssey when it was Project Stream, and I shipped a game on it. They really cared about latency and it showed, gaming was actually pretty viable there. It also worked out super well during pandemic development as QA could click a link and play the game instantly. Unfortunately Google was Google, so they shut the service down.

@trkorecky great to hear from you!  I hope all is well!

I hear you - the latency has been one of my main concerns.  It can happen even with GB Internet.  I have shied away from most Cloud Gaming, though I would like to try Amazon Luna as I have Prime.  Their selection was a bit limited... but I'd rather see if it's a good fit and decent with latency.

As far as Google Stadium, I really wanted to try that.  It was a bummer they pulled the plug.  I'd love to hear about the game you shipped!
