When I think in terms of dollars per hour played I'm able to almost justify a title I'll really dive into. Anymore though that's never often. worse yet, about 90% of the games I think I'll sink tons of time in become more back log.

You know... that's not a bad way to look at it.  I just don't for video games because I see Time as resource that is not replaceable... therefore, it has more value.  Even with this considered... I would have a hard time spending $80 on a video game.  MAYBE this is because of history.  I know N64 and Super Nintendo had some games near this price point.  I have paid near this price point for games in the past.

Ugh... now that I'm talking through that, maybe I wouldn't 100% say no.  But it would have to be really awesome to pay that much.  IE I remember N64 Killer Instinct I paid $75-80 for that game. BUT I believe that was Day 1 and MSRP was lower. Most N64 games were not at that MSRP and you had full carts, color manuals and boxes.  Today, you maybe get a disc and case and case insert... but no longer a manual.  Discs are much cheaper too.

This is an update.....concerning my Mac Mini late 2012 running Sanoma 14.7.4 using Opencore-Patcher on an SSD with 16 gig ram. The OS started locking up and finally crashed. I could not get it to boot anymore. I am certain that the SSD died. I could not format the SSD. I decided to install Catalina on a 500g sata hd. Glad I did. This is my first experience with Catalina and it has been a very positive one. Running the Opencore-patcher made the Bluetooth useless. Glad to be back using my wireless key-board and touch-pad. For now, I will keep running this on this mini.

The Asus is running great and continues to serve its purpose. The Lenovo Chromebook will stop getting updates next June 2027.

I spent way too much time in one of those playing Starblade. Loved that game.

Arcade / After Burner Arcade

I was revisiting a few arcade cabs... and one of my most favorite arcade games of the late 80's was After Burner and the motion cabinet.  What a crazy time.  I swear, cabinets are not made like they used to be.  Maybe that's because this was a fairly complicated cabinet with all the ways it moved.

For those that do not remember, here is a video of the Cabinet in play:


This cabinet not only moved front to back but it also moved internally.  It really does not look like it's moving A TON, but you sure felt it in the cabinet while sitting and playing.  You felt all the dips and turns, banks and dodging the oncoming missiles.

After Burner was an awesome game and one of my favorites to play in the arcade.  Did you have a chance to play it in the arcade?  What was your experience with this game?

I technically haven't fallen for it at all yet, @targetrasp .  Mario Kart World came with my Switch... I couldn't bring myself to buy it otherwise.  I think I will be holding the line on all this madness

Honestly, Not sure. lol.   

We watched it again at the $5 theater (no longer dollar theater lol)... and it was still pretty good.  My son thought it was a tad bit slower and people weren't clapping this time around (as they were on opening weekend).  However, it's still pretty good.

It surprises me because I expected better out of Filoni and Favreau.

They're probably thinking... this is what Lucas felt like lol.  My guess is they thought it would be good and resonate. 

I don't know... at times I feel people are too hard on creativity.  But maybe it's also warranted ... The ever changing opinions of people... you can never please them - especially if you try.
