Quote from: Kinikko on October 08, 2025, 03:42:21 PMKinda why I'm in the boat where I don't particularly care if I join in on the next gen of gaming.  I have so much (sooooo much omg) to play as it is I don't really need new things.

I'm in the same boat... as well as a lot of the members here LOL.  So many...  ??? I probably have 10 sealed switch games alone.  That's not mentioning all of my Steam catalog... or all other systems as well.

@retro junkie - I heavily watch diet these days as well.  We eat pretty clean and avoid corn, wheat, and many different oils ... plus eat a fairly low sugar diet.  This is definitely a more expensive way to eat... I feel tons better though.  The only issue is... if I ever get into something that's "not good," man does it hurt.

The prices of all these items are up.  Cars and houses = way up.  Games = up. Food = Up.  Gas... Is about the same... which is a bit interesting... but it's still up here.  Restaurants = up a good portion.  Education = up.  I couldn't believe how expensive shipping is.  We had to ship out a laptop for repair... cheapest option was $55-60

@retro junkie - It very well could be... I checked that video out but didn't see the ship "jump."  I thought I specifically remembered that on the spider web.  It could have been gameplay, but a memory was triggered.

Hopefully not a false memory as I cannot seem to find it.  ???

Overall... this game looked pretty cool, too bad it wasn't officially released.  The rails on some of the levels looked extremely tight though... IE you they could move, but it looked like the game REALLY wanted to force the ship back to center.

@targetrasp LOL  ;D  That's hilarious... remembering time frames from beer prices.  I can't imagine how much a tall is these days at Buffalo Wild Wings.  I think the last time we actually ate at a Bdubs was a decent bit before Covid.

$500 is pretty low for a full arcade game these days.  Does that include the gooey beer and wing taste left on the trackball?  ;D  IT's interesting Golden Tee is still going strong.  I never really got into it that much, but others seemed to be regulars.

@CreepinDeth I think I want to add this to my collection at some point.  I tell you, I had the same thought.  In the Super Mario 3D All-Stars topic... I covered some of that.  It sucks they didn't have it on that collection.  Once they didn't include it, and it wasn't discovered as a secret on the cart, it was most certainly going to be released later on for more money.   Crazy part is... they put it with Galaxy 1.  It makes sense... and it's now accessible again as the Super Mario 3D All-Stars is very expensive now.

I sort of wonder if this is going to massively jump in price in the future as well.  Time will tell.

Quote from: Kinikko on October 09, 2025, 05:25:36 PMOh that's also a reason why I'm not interested at all.  I am blind in one eye so I can't even see 3D effects when it relies on stereoscopic vision.
Well... that would do it!  I wonder if it's possible.  I will need to try that with my virtual boy at some point to see if closing 1 eye would still be playable.  I'm sure I did that as a kid forever ago, just don't remember.

LOL... there is some truth to that.  Somewhere, I documented my experience where the constant red for 20-30 minutes (when I was younger) had me seeing a lot of green at night when I stopped looking at the virtual boy.  It was bizarre.

Quote from: CreepinDeth on October 12, 2025, 10:25:51 PMTaking a look again, they do have different lenses in those pictures. Doesn't make any sense to me though. The games have to be displayed a certain way so having both behave slightly different just seems wrong.

100% on with you there.  It is bizarre.  I'm hoping it pans out well... I'm still excited!  I also agree with you on cost.

I might disappointed.  BV's hopes crushed lol  :'(

Honestly, they should just get rid of the cardboard model and lower the price of the full visor. Seems like the cardboard model is just there to entice people to spend more money. Fake sense of choice.
