ok - so the grind is pretty hard?  That was my worry on the Lunar games.  If I remember correctly, that was a thing in the past.  They are definitely great games.  Hard to put a ton of time into them with life as is and current gaming ADD  ;D

Who has been playing Mario Kart World on the Nintendo Switch 2?  I believe at least @Bomber Man and @CreepinDeth has been lol  :great:

The open world is pretty cool... interesting in how you switch between objectives and challenges while driving in the open world. I have very light experience so far... but watching and playing more.

Outside the $80 physical media cost ($50 with Switch 2 Console Bundle)... what excites you about this title?  Anything giving you pause?

Does it blow any one else's mind that "remastered" could ever be added to a Crysis title?  ;D

Well... this has also been released for the Nintendo Switch. It was released a long time ago - July 23, 2020 and I totally missed it.  I am going to give it a shot... just because.

It's still about $40 and is on Amazon and other stores (Amazon affiliate link):

It has been confirmed - Nintendo Switch can run Crysis lol  :great:  I am pumped to try it out.

Have you played Crysis on the Switch?  Thoughts, comments... post it up!

General Discussion / Re: New Price Points of Video ...

I had a whole response I was writing and lost it.   :'(   This will be the shortened version.

Neo Geo cart games back in the day were super expensive as well... while SNES games were in the $49-69 range, they were going for $150 each.  There was a Genesis racing game (Virtua Racing) with the SVP (Sega Virtua Processor) chip that I think debuted for $99 if my memory serves me right.  I remember back in the day... I was like "$100... what the heck?!"  Star Fox with the SFX chip was $59.99.  Those were expensive... but I do remember some sales... also remember mowing many yards to purchase more LOL.  :happydance:  N64 games jumped up to the $75's if I remember those right.

Thank you for the heads up on Bangai-O.  I have one excellent in box... I might look to lighten the collection soon.  We will see.

It is awesome to see the home brew communities. I was trying (way back on the old store) to give a platform for home brew communities to launch titles for different systems.  It didn't work out at the time - long story... but it was an interesting run at the concept! Glad to see they're still live and well.

$80 for Mario Kart world is a bit pricey... though the arguments for inflation aren't wrong... it still doesn't take away the sting of the game prices.

hmmmm....................I have the 1st gen Vita. And I have it out ready to play. Got "World of Final Fantasy" loaded in the cart slot.

Wow old topic. Not sure how I missed this. I miss the heyday of the Vita. I was surprised how much I like this console. I loved this console because you could do so much with it. I took it on business trips at the time and had video conferences with my family on the road using skype. First time I played a Persona game, Persona 4 golden. First time I played online, played Ragnarok Odyssey. I could get email, etc. I had it connected to my PS3. When Sony dropped support for it then everybody dropped it and ran. What had became my favorite system at the time was suddenly abandoned. It was reduced to nothing more than a gaming system. I have the PlayStation console where you can play the games on TV. I really did not use tat very much.

The Vita is still a good handheld, IMO. I don't really think it needs that much improvement. All it needed was support, games.

LOL @Grindspine ... great reference.  We need another cook out with huge prawns again. Or whatever those large shrimp are.  I haven't seen them for a long time.  It was at least a few years before covid

I ended up watching and watching.... and watching for a discounted price on a Physical copy of the Playstation Vita Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours.  I found one a couple or few years back.

I'm happy I bought it new on the drop... as it was a one time opportunity.  Funny enough, I've only played it a few times... but it was a great snag. :great:
