Thanks for the information as to what the update is all about. My Daughter told me about it. I did the update but couldn't see the difference anywhere. Now I know. For some reason I don't have a bed in my house. I will have to get one and try that dream thing.

As mentioned in the following post, Animal Crossing New Horizons recently received a free update for V3.0 ... that's right, it has just been released:
https://www.chickendinnergaming.com/forum/nintendo-switch-2-switch-3ds-and-wii-u/animal-crossing-new-horizons-switch-2-edition-and-free-update/

Many New features have been added - Per the Nintendo site:

Kapp'n's family's hotel
There's a new hotel on the dock, er block. If you're looking to help out Kapp'n and his crew, they'll let you design themed rooms for the guests.

Making life more convenient
Running low on home storage? You're now able to upgrade your storage two more times—for a max of 9000! You can even store trees, shrubs, and flowers if a bit of gardening is in your future.

Slumber Islands
Ever wanted to experiment with wild island ideas without changing your main island? Players with a Nintendo Switch Online membership* can now create up to three Slumber Islands separate from their main island.

New collaborations
Finally, you'll be able to find new collaborations such as LEGO® items, retro Nintendo knickknacks, and stuff that's obtained by scanning select amiibo™ accessories** (sold separately). Try tapping compatible amiibo accessories from the Splatoon™ series and the Legend of Zelda™ series to see what happens.

How to update
Your game may have updated already, but you can also check by highlighting the game icon from the HOME Menu, pressing the + Button, and then selecting Software Update (internet connection required).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Alrighty! Let's talk about Nintendo Switch 2 Edition now. The Animal Crossing™: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch™ 2 Edition game has a number of exclusive enhancements. Players will be able to enjoy enhanced resolution, mouse control support for faster and easier decorating, a megaphone for calling your animal residents (that uses the built-in system microphone), and more.

Also, if you and your friends all have the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, you can share your island in 12-player sessions online. Then, with CameraPlay and GameChat*** support, you can see and hear their reactions in real time.

There's an upgrade pack if you already have the Switch 1 game!  All information on the page was not copied... there is more information on Nintendo's site.

Here's the official Nintendo Announcement:
https://www.nintendo.com/us/whatsnew/out-now-welcome-back-to-the-island-with-updates-for-both-nintendo-switch-and-nintendo-switch-2/

I am excited for the update.  For the Switch 2 version, I hope you do not have to wait as long for players to join your town as you did in the Switch 1 version.  That would be a drag for 12 people lol... and the length of time it would take to Get everyone in there.  That's something I need to research.

Thoughts, Comments, Post it up!!

Retro Gaming and Hardware / Gunslugs on the Sega Genesis!!...

Gunslugs: I think I had this game on the Ouya when it was a thing. One of those consoles that lasted like a short fuse. And this game has been ported onto multiple consoles as a digital download. It first was released to cell phones. The 3DS had it in the eshop. Well someone also ported it to the Sega Genesis. Why not?

This is a fast pace run and gun action game that will captivate anyone that loves something like Contra or Metal Slug.
The storyline of Gunslugs follows the adventures of a group of slugs who are attempting to find more information about the mysterious Black Duck army, and what their goals are. The army is waging war, and it's the players job to stop them.

The graphics are very simple, pixelated, blocky, but it is not about the graphics. It is all about the gameplay. The enemy is relentless and they come in like a mob. You have land mines, first aid pickups, ammo, weapons, enemy headquarters to destroy, and a copter that flies in to pick you up out of the mess when the mission is accomplished. And don't forget about the bosses. And I love the word balloons that pop up when the enemy is killed.
This game is a fun romp. It can be addicting....
